As one of the largest brewing companies in Tahoe, Alibi has made quite a name for itself since its inception in 2014. While expanding their footprint from a single small local brewery in Incline Village NV, they now operate three locations across North Tahoe and their beers can be found in local stores and supermarkets across the region. Alibi is known for their constantly rotating and incredibly unique menu of beers that are proudly brewed with the purest mountain water Tahoe has to offer.
Alibi also now has a full kitchen and food selection at both their Incline Village and Truckee locations. From specialty nachos, craft sandwiches, and even a giant mustache shaped cinnamon and chai pretzel, there’s surely something delicious for everyone hungry after a day of playing in the mountains. As the weather starts to warm, you’ll be happy to know that both the Truckee and Incline Village locations have large, pet-friendly, beer gardens which are the perfect setting for relaxing under Tahoe’s famed High Sierra sunsets. Though relatively small, Bear Belly Brewing has become a staple of the town of Kings Beach and promises nothing short of good times and great beer. With a large outdoor beer garden, complete with plenty of games and tables, Bear Belly is a must visit for those staying at Red Wolf Lakeside Lodge and Tahoe Sand Resort. The quaint and inviting taproom has all of their brewing equipment visible to visitors, while the founder and head brewer is happy to answer any questions about his brewing process. During the warmer months, there are even local food trucks available in the beer garden, perfect for tasty snacks to accompany your delicious micro-brews.

Located in Tahoe City, this sometimes hard to find but incredibly worth it brewery/restaurant is all the buzz in North Lake Tahoe as of late. Located around the back of the Tahoe City Safeway, this incredible establishment offers great lake views, a unique and craft beer and cocktail selection, and some of the most delicious food offerings anywhere on the lake. The rotating menu switches every three months or so, and features unique and themed cuisine choices like Japanese, German, French, and Italian. Seriously, the food is so good you’ll likely come back a second night.
With a fairly large seating area, Tahoe National is a great stop for large groups and families. They have a large projector screen which makes this a must visit on gameday. Their incredible drink selection also is great for those who might prefer a cocktail over a craft beer. With so much to choose from, this might just become one of your favorite stops year after year.
Truckee Brewing Company

Founded in 2018, Truckee Brewing Company has become increasingly popular largely due to its great beers, tasty food, and lively tap room. This family owned brewery has one simple mission, to bring the most high quality beers to the Tahoe region. With 15 unique brews like the West Coast Woody, Palisades Pilsner, and the Margarito Migo, there’s surely something for everyone at Truckee Brewing Company. However, it wouldn’t be a trip to TBC without stopping by their restaurant and sampling some of their delicious apps and entrees. Be sure to try the braised pork tacos, BBQ ribs, or one of their hearty pizzas! Truckee Brewing Company is conveniently located near downtown Truckee and close to the exit for I-80 and HW-89, making this a convenient stop when staying in either Tahoe Vista or Olympic Valley!
