The resort construction is terrible and been this way for two years with little to no progress. I do not want to return for my split week in August due to the nature of the facility. I didn't finish my stay and left early. What a mess. utterly disappointing. Oh and now no bikes? WTH? We pay more and more for what? It's not fair. How can building a new spa take two years? Our dues are being mismanaged and this remodel project is not being managed. It should not take this long and diminishes owners' ability to relax and vacation. It's an utter mess. There are less BBQs, no grassy areas, no creek, hammocks on the cement patio (how safe is that?) and no bikes!! It is a sad reality and needs to change.

Thank you for your feedback. The construction project is managed by our Board of Directors, not our staff. You should have been notified by email and phone of the construction well in advance of your stay. We hope that you received that diligent communication. There are no bikes currently due to insurance constraints. Again, out of our staff's control. These negative reviews affect our team directly and we are doing our best to navigate these difficult situations. Please call 530.581.6000 so we can try and correct your stay.

Super cute and kept in time yet kept up! So cool to stay village that was made for the 1960s winter Olympian athletes. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Every room has a view of the county yard (that they are re-doing rn but it’s gonna look so good!). You can tell they really take the customers into account and go above and beyond to make sure we’re having a great experience. They have complementary events happening each day like; Wine tasting, Happy hour, Yoga(which was great) and events for kids toOo. Front desk switched our room to a room less affected by the construction without us even asking which so many places don’t do. Very much appreciated!✨

Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is slightly outdated but charming. The improvements I might suggest would be to have more comfortable beds and sofa beds and have more mosquito repelling things in the courtyard. We stayed here because it’s such a great location

Amazing location! Within walking distance to restaurants, coffee and shops. Perfect size for small family. In room kitchen! Everything you need right there ready for you

We have been owners at OVI for a long time. We have always loved it but lately we have been very disappointed. We understand that some things have to be dealt with during construction but the issues we have had go way beyond that. The chairs and tables are wobbly and in bad shape. No bodywash and shampoo in the room. The dishwasher broke. Not enough BBQs, we had to wait for a long time every night. One of the ice makers on the third floor was broken. The other ice maker was out of ice 4 days in a row!!!! The soda machine was out of service, the laundry area was filthy. The gas at the gas fireplace was empty on Saturday evening and not replaced. But the absolute worst was that the bicycles were taken away. That was the one thing we had been looking forward to most of all. We are very disappointed. Is a small chocolate candy at arrival and three cookies at departure supposed to make up for all these shortcomings ?

I absolutely love every single Associate that works at this resort, so helpful, respectful and friendly; and regardless of construction in progress, the team is amazing and that’s surpassed whatever construction is happening.
